Approve calendar items first?

I'm willing to make my forum a little bit more interactive, and since my forum is about an online game, I activated the calendar. I want to let my members post their activities on the calendar, but I don't want to scroll trough every month to see if somebody adds rubbish.

That's why I'm looking for an option to approve calendar items before they will be added to the calendar. Is this possible? And if not: would it be hard to code this?
