Please I Need Assistance!!!

I have SMF 1.1.4 installed on my site, but users cannot upload their own avatars they can only specify via a URL or use the ones supplied in SMF

What do I do to solve this problem?

Two places
Admin -> Permissions -> Modify each gorup
Make sure they have the "Upload an avatar to the server" permission



Also found under Avatar Settings

Admin -> Attachments and Avatars -> Avatar Settings
Under Uploadable Avatars
Make sure that each group is able to upload avatars in permissions

I have specified the appropriate user permission and enabled write access on the avatar directory but that does not still solve the problem!

the directory is not chmoded right.

make it so guests can't access(view the files) in the directory too.

When they try to upload, do they get an error/message? Do you get an error in your error logs?

Be sure the avatar is NOT bigger than the size specified in the configuration files.
