Integrated Chat Mod

I managed to get both mods working together after some work with the map mod..
My members really love the chat mod as we have always had probs with java applets with other irc servers in the past and this one seems to work with everyone who has used it so far and it has so many features for a free one which is cool. The ability to uninstall it via the package manager would be great for when upgrading the forum but that wont be happening just yet lol..

thanks! what did you end up having to do to get them to work together? I plan on installing the location mod on my server soon which is why I ask. plus we can let him know what changes to look at in his mod to make it more compatible

Bascicly I just uninstalled the location mod manually as the package manager said it was uninstalled but infact most of the modifications to files were still intack. I then re-installed it via the package manager, it kinda stopped responding halfway through the installation(no hour glass , just sticking) I left it at the none responding page for a while and then clicked browse packages and found that it was installed.(I was going to manually uninstall it again and leave it ) Now both mods seems to work ok together, bit puzzling as to why it happened after the package manager installed your mod in the first place.

You could try asking Brodle if he knows a way. He is the actualy author of the javascript, I just wrote the mod to bring it into smf

I have the following problem The show users script seems to show one user less every time. it shows something like:

"There are currently 0 users in the chatroom:
user1"

or

"there are 1 users in the chatroom
user1,user2"

what's wrong??

The count updates every few minutes so sometimes it's off for a bit. They tried increasing the check time awhile back but it became server intensive to keep updaing the script.

ok, i just found it weird because the one script worked correctly, but not the other. Thanks for clearing this up

I have a fresh install of SMF RC2, I can not get this thing working for the life of me. I install it (via packge manager). It tells me that it is installed but I when I go to the features to configure it, nothing is there

hmm, I just ftped into my server and it seems that the files are nowhere to be found. I manualy uploaded the files...but of course, with my luck, nothing.

oh and if i tried to uninstall it, I get a Modification parse error. Does this add up to anything?

Are you sure that you installed it all the way?  There are several prompts when using package manager, as well as inputting your correct ftp settings. Also, set up a test account (non-moderator) so we can look at it.

Well, I go to the package manager and browse for it from my pc. ...I upload it  and then I apply it.  I go to Features and Options thinking I am going to configure it but it aint there.

It acts like my files are not getting updated when I apply the mod

it sounds like you are not putting the ftp settings in before you click proceed, look below the proceed button. also chmod  your package folder to 777 and see if that helps

Not installing with yabb classic theme.
I edited the xml files adding $boarddir/Themes/classic/ in place of $themedir, but the problem is that 4 files that it wants to modify in /Themes/classic/languages do not exist. They are only in the smf default theme.

What would you suggest?

If a file does not exist in a theme, the default version of said file will be used.... so editing the defaults should be fine.

I have the same problem as mentioned above

How often does the number get updated? I waited for 10 mins, refreshed and still had the same 0 users, user1.

I also get duplicate Chat Stats boxes in the Info Center (http://www.translatum.gr/forum/index.php).
The funny thing is that there is no way to display "Upcoming Calendar" (used to work but now it is gone - although it works in another site of mine hosted in the same server!)
