I'm trying to mimic this:  http://www.fredmiranda.com/reviews/showproduct.php?product=14&sort=7&cat=27&page=3 The average users rating feedback data at the top of the forum post.

On my forum here:  http://www.motleypixel.com/forum/index.php/topic,2.0.html

Any suggestions?

Not this?

Topic Ratings:

Or do you mean something like the Karma system that is already in SMF?

No, that's just a single topic overall rating.  I'm looking for something like the first link I posted in my OP:  http://www.fredmiranda.com/reviews/showproduct.php?product=14&sort=7&cat=27&page=3

Here's a Generic Sample:

Board:  Cities in North America
Forum:  Texas
Topic:  Austin, TX

When a user opens topic Austin, TX they are presented with a survey or multi-question poll (multi question, not single question).

How do you rate the city overall?  1-10
How do you rate the roads and highways?  1-10
How do you rate the overall air quality?  1-10
How do you rate the weather?  1-10

User answers these questions first then the thread is available for a normal post and the user sees the overall survey/poll results at the top of the thread.

that pros/cons feature on that board is also interesting.

I think this could be a powerfull tool for those forums targeting review material.

I am thinking that you should tie it in with one of the poll or rating scripts and use the SMF permission system. Just a thought. It'd be a bit of work though I suspect.

Yea...implementing multi-quesion polls would do the trick...I wouldn't think it woudl be too difficult...just curious how a key would be defined in the DB or if a new table would have to be created.

Is there anyone out there interested in helping add a more robust polling system?  Essentially if more than one question could be asked per poll the functionality would exist.

Thanks,

I tinkered with trying to get this to work over the holidays but I didn't get very far.  Nearly impossible.

Oh well.
