guest and baning issues

I have two issues:

One I have not checked any allow for guest to do anything as you have to register to use it, yet I have post showing up with "guest" listed as member type and you can't click on it to go to area to ban?

How can this be prevented?

The reason is the second issue.

I have a person who I have banned 40+ times, but they just sign up again with new email address/IP.

They do so far have one thing the same/ name/ "The Final Countdown"  which was banned before?

Is there anyway I am missing to deal with the person?

Should be easy to ban them. I could do it for you if you made me admin but when you ban them be sure to check all the ban triggers.

Yeah, but just because he is a guest doesn't mean he can see anything. Just means he is at the url of your site. Your stalker can't do anything but piss you off. BUT if he can still register he can continue being a pain.

I have made sure all triggers are checked, but will check again to be sure

That much I knew and they were never deleted.

how are they able to post as guest?

Like I said it is all checked to not be able to do anyhting as guest?

Normally I can click on the poster and ban, but don't have this option here?


Is there a way to ban the IP manually?

Go into the each board and make sure the posting permissions don't have guest checked. I could fix all of this in like 5 minutes but its hard to list all the stuff you need to do.
