current forum i am using is SMF 1.1.4

using smf-joomla bridge 1.1.6

I just notice a couple problems here and need some support for this..i am using a default SMF theme for my forums.

Heres a list of issues i have found with this bridge.

• When you log on to the site thru Joomla bridge, it will log you in and stuff, and the joomla component link will take you to the forum, no problem... but the situation is that some of my SMF Mods are not working with it... and the url link is originated from joomla.  Flash chat isnt working and my quoting w/ quick reply box "hangs" if i use it.  the loading bar just stay on.
• When you go straight to my website and sign on directly with my forum, everything works fine..

How long have you had this bridge installed?  Bridge 1.1.6 has not been available for almost a year....

Your problem has nothing to do with where you login.  It has to do with where you are posting.

It was a bug in bridge 1.1.6 that was fixed in bridge 1.1.7.  This line:

There were a few changes needed to make this work.  Because bridge 1.1.7 is no longer available, I would say your best choice would be to upgrade to Mambo 4.6.2, and use the bridge for that.

sorry to bring that back up again... the bridge is causing more issues to the forum site... when i use the bridge to login in initially from the joomla home site... then went into the forum boards, i can post find, i can review post, but one thing... is that the following does not work with SMF-Joomla bridge

• shoutbox doesnt work at all.
• FLASHCHAT Doesnt work
• Arcade works but it fails to keep score on record via..datase
• quick quoting in quit relpies does not post up, it just hangs with a loading strip in green in the top of the screen and does nothing to it.

1) I expect that this has something to do with the shoutbox mod...   probably it is calling defined urls rather than using the variables and that SMF uses...
2) How do you have flashchat configured?  Did you see my post over on tufat support forums on how to properly set up a site with SMF bridged to Joomla and then adding flashchat?
3) Arcade requires some tweaking to work with a bridged forum...  Do a search, it's been discussed (but not in a while) (see 1, above)
4) Seems like you have something misconfigured.  Did you do a search of this board, I know other people have reported the same issue and then fixed it.

1) I expect that this has something to do with the shoutbox mod...   probably it is calling defined urls rather than using the variables and that SMF uses...

I have tried to search but cant find anything that is relevant to what my issue is. I know that your one of the programmers who did the SMF Calendar integration to Joomla.  I have a question for that too... Is there a way where I can show the events going Decending order to Ascending order? example: I need to show the events that is coming up rather than showing it from the last to the first event...

if you click on the event right now from going top to bottom of the list.. its showing the events going from last to the first event of the year... i wanted to change that so it shows the first event down to the last event in the bottom.

quick quoting in quit relpies does not post up, it just hangs with a loading strip in green in the top of the screen and does nothing to it.

It took 6 posts above to explain adding a global variable to a list of global variables.  I don't think I have the patience to walk through all the changes required to fix this.

You are much better off upgrading to Mambo 4.6.3.

Change the ASC to DESC (or maybe it's the other way around) in the SQL statement inside mod_smf_showcal.php

all i see is this file...mod_smf_events.php

oops... showcal is the mini calendar, events is the event listing...

so, do the change in mod_smf_events.

1,3 and 4 require you to do some stuff...
2 required you to make sure flashchat is configured correctly. See tufat.com forums for more info on that.
