Any hint on when SMF 2 is going to be released?

Hey everyone.
I was just wondering if anyone has the slightest hint to when the SMF 2 will be released.

I am using 1.1.4 with many many mods in the default theme.
Now i want my site to look more professional, so I want to  use a different theme, but I dont want to lose my mods.

I read that the new SMF 2 will have the ability to install mods on any theme, so I was just wondering if I should just go ahead and manually modify the new theme with my original mods, or just wait untill SMF 2 is released.

If it's anytime soon, I would definitely prefer to wait for the release..
Any ideas?

Your best bet for 2.0 updates is to check the Developer Blog.  http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=210250.0 gives information about the 2.0 release timeframe

Note, because of the 'massive' changes.

MOST mods will need re-writing anyway.
