getting blank login pages with new Joomlahacks bridge of existing forum

I installed Joomla 1.1.13, SMF 1.1.4, and the 2.0.2.1 Joomlahacks bridge on a new install and everything was perfect.  I decided I wanted to integrate another older forum I had that was stand alone and fully updated to 1.1.4, so I simply put older forum's files in place of new stuff imported the DB too.  I uninstalled the bridge , then reinstalled it and synced the users.  All of that went perfectly.  There were no errors. 

For some reason, this does not work though.  I can log into the forum directly (www.domain.com/forum), but not if i go through Joomla,  I get taken to a blank page even though the url may be fine "www.domain.com/index.php".  I can't figure out what would possibly be different... the old and new forum has essentially the same files and use the same bridge, but if you use an existing SMF forum, this bridge takes you to a blank page.

I have a very important site going live soon - can anyone help me out?  I've been working on this for days now.

That integration makes a few changes to the SMF files.  I don't know if it works properly if you replace your files with clean ones.

From that, I would say you already replaced them, and probably erased the changes the integration made.

the bridge has a "patch" and "unpatch" button, i unpatched before i made the switch.  Probably has somethign to do with it though

i think i found the problem - the login link has the wrong item ID - it's using 33 which was from the initial component install, the new install has an ID of 44... it's not updating that.
