Chat for SMF

In your opinion, what is the best chat mod or chat room for SMF and why?

Let's say there is a forum with about 5000 or so members and that you can expect 100 people to be using the chat during peak times.

IMO you should go with any IRC (pjirc) mod. Although you're not going to get 'tight' integration you won't have to deal with server load issues caused by the other chat mods.

Agreed. If you try and keep the chat managed on the web server you'll have issues with load, especially on a shared server. While IRC isn't as integrated with SMF, it works much better for chat.

u can use chatango.com but i dont relly like it but its all that i can seem to get working...

i would like to find a good chat mod with smf but i cant get anything to work right. im useing smf 1.1.4 and the smf chat just dont whant to work

and i was trying to find some other chat spftware but i cant find any good ones but there is a realchat.com im thinking about but i cant h=get it to work eather.....

My users seems to only use the chat more than other features. Lol. It's surprised me, they fall in love with it and they have ability to change the theme, share file, and such. Soon to be that I am developing on web cam and audio for the chat. You can get that mod for the chat from tufat. $5.00

Well. $5.00 isn't really any thing. But take the other advice on which modification to get free.
