Hi there, I am new to using SMF as a forum solution.  I am trying to integrate it into an existing Joomla site I have created for a school district and am having some problems and hope there are some kind souls out there who could give me a helping hand.

Firstly, there must be a way to integrate the search functions from my main Joomla site (which I already successfully integrated with ReMOSitory) to search my entire site: content, forum postings, remository, et al.  Right now my main search does not locate anything in my SMF forum topics and the search within the SMF forum doesn't show anything in the rest of my site.  I am using the Joomla-SMF bridge and have Community Builder installed as well.  How in the hell do I integrate all the searches?  I have been looking everywhere to find out how.  I have read that it is possible, but no steps to make it so.

Secondly, my SMF posting interface doesn't include some of the cool functions that most others do (i.e. insert flash object, insert hyperlink, insert ftp site, glow, shadow, teletype, spellcheck, etc.)  I am pretty sure I have the latest versions of all the software (except I am running Joomla 1.x not 1.5)

As far some of the other SMF components.  Is there any advantage to using the built-in SMF PM?  I am currently using UddeIM.  Also, is there any way of showing a smaller version of the calendar on the front page or as a module or anything?

I would greatly appreciate any help.

Thanks.  :-*

As far as I know there are no bridges that currently work with Joomla 1.5
