latest posts on index of joomla

Not really sure if this post should go here or on the joomla site, but figure I will start   here.  I would like to display the subject of the last 5 posts posted on my smf forum.  Something like latest 5 subjects and maybe the person who posted them.  I figure this might be a module for Joomla or something but I am not sure.  I figured I wouldask here on the smf forums because I am sure someone here has done the same thing.

Oh and I have smf and Joomla bridged if that matters and I am sure it does.

What bridge are you using? Joomlahacks has got modules that show latest posts in joomla, depending on their bridge...

the smf bridge also has a recentPosts module...

so which bridge are you using?
