Poll Enhancement

I know that SMF 2.0 is probably now feature-locked, but I found these ones being increasingly important in very large forums using SMF:

1. "Survey" enhancement - Possibility to have multiple questions in the same topic poll. This is very useful when someone wants to conduct surveys by simply asking 4 or 5 questions one after the other related to a specific issue. I'm not a programmer but I can think that it's not that difficult to allow more than one question similar to the process of adding more than one possible answer.

2. "Grading" enhancement - This would be a very nice complement to the above feature. Imagine that you would like to evaluate a list of several items. Instead of creating one question for each item and then having possible grading answers for each of them, there should be a possibility to rate them using a scale (using radio buttons for example in front of each item).


Although these could be done as MOD's, nothing here is really new and as such it could be considered as feature enhancements.

Multiple questions is something I really want to add to polls in the future - but it's been on my wish list for some years and sadly won't make it into 2.0

This would be great if this could be done, i had a quick look at doing it,  but it looks like it might take more time than i had.

The easy way i though of doing it was with having anther table of poll/topics so each topic could have more that one poll.

or what I'm trying to work, out each choice can have different results 
something like, smf_log_polls to have another field...
ID_POLL,    ID_MEMBER,    ID_CHOICE, Result(int)

where in a normal poll Result would just be true(nonZero), False(0) or no entry
But a multiple choice would have the Result for choice .. linked to a table of ResultID-ResultText

existing smf_log_polls would have result set to true(nonZero)

Finally Something in smf_polls to say how to render choices,
a: each choice just a yes/no results, the current way, or
b: each choice can have multiple results

I am going to be looking at doing this...  but am not REALLY experience in creating "MODS" soooo  that being said I will be getting something working on my personal site but if somebody else is experience with wrapping changes up into a MOD maybe I can work with them ? 

I have not looked at it in great detail 'yet' however at first glance the first thing that I have changed is added another column to the POLLS table called ID_TOPIC...  the current limitation of having a single poll per topic starts in these two tables (topics and polls) the issue is that Topics has a field called ID_POLL which limits right there each topic to a single poll...  I will be changing this around and linking my POLLS to a topic....  this will allow me to have many polls/questions attached to a single topic without changing the basic design all that much.  I have already done this and updated the hxxp:polls.id [nonactive]_TOPIC field with for all my topics that had polls.  I now have also created a view that will show me all the polls attached to a certain topic.  I can use the standard add poll button multiple times to add additional polls/questions to a topic (after disabling some code that limited us to a single poll/question per topic)

sooo I will be working on adding multiple questions at the same time instead of having to do them one by one now.....

if anybody else has something or ideas PLEASE share ; )

Multiple questions is something I really want to add to polls in the future - but it's been on my wish list for some years and sadly won't make it into 2.0

I'd love to have that option in the future
