Deleteing the first post in a topic deletes the whole topic....

Well you can delete the first post you have to go to the board and you have to delete it there. Well why can't you do it from the first post. When you click it you get "Deleting the first posts deletes the whole topic. Do you want to continue?"

How is this better then using the remove topic link

And what happens if you do only want to remove the first post?

If it bothers you then you could just edit the theme to move the Remove Topic link to the top of the page.
