File management system/uploader for staff

I'm not sure if i'm putting this in the right place but here goes...

For the longest time now i've wanted to give my staff members the ability to upload files to my site for various reasons (award images and such) but i've never found something that could do this so it always reverted to them putting it somewhere on personal file storers through out the net. I feel this is very messy and i know i have more then enough room on my site to host every file that i could want to host.

So i basicly would like to know if someone has maybe already created a mod that does something similar to this.

It would be something i imagine where the staff member can go into the admin panel and there would be a file manager that points to a particular part of the forum directory and shows everything in there and gives options to  upload files.

I know there is currently the attachment method but this is not in anyway useful for general images that you may want to use around the site.

Most of my staff don't have or don't know how to use programs such as FTP and i would not give them access to my cpanel. Something that is contained inside of the forum would be great if it existed.
