SMF + Joomla and Private messages

Hi,

I recently integrated Joomla and SMF, however when I go to private messages in a "wrapped" version and click on a message it takes me back to the forum index.

Basically the URL is coming up as

mydomain.com/forum/index.php?#msg1

and it is cutting off the "action" is there any code I can edit or way to fix the url to make sure it includes the $_GET paramaters?
