Hello everybody,

i know it was really arrant to ask in my first posting for a feature or module i searched for. I currently run a small SMF forum for support requests.

Now some customers have support request there should be only readable by the administrator or moderator of the forum. Is there a module or function available that allow a user to mark a post "private" or "only readable by administration"?
I've currently not found any module ... is there one available or the function directly implemented in SMF?

thanks a lot for your help,
best regards,
prof.farnsworth  :)

Yea, but the function i need is that the "post starter" can select if the post is visible for all users or only for the admin in all boards that are available.

post moderation is not currently available in 1.1.x.

It will be in 2.0 which should be publicly available sometime soon (months?)
I'm not fully sure whether or not this implementation is what you are after. But it will be 'easier' to manipulate that than starting post moderation from scratch.

Kindred

Although 2.0 has post moderation, it will not do what this user is looking for..

if you want a private message, use PM.

Please do not PM, IM or Email me with support questions.  You will get better and faster responses in the support boards.  Thank you.

PM is a good system if one user and one admin communicate with each other. But in my forum there are more administrators and more moderators "supporter" who can help the user (customer).

Fatality-

That's easy, just separate the support forums into Public and Private. If they want private support, post in the Private Support Forums, otherwise they can post in Public Support Forums.

Hi there again,
i've now installed the module "View Only Boards" but i don't find any options to make two categories, one private and one public... or i don't find the permission settings to set the private category to "only show own topics".
