In the "Features & Options" section of the Admin area of the forum there is a "Default personal text" field only it doesn't say what it does, what it's for or where it will turn up? Even the help about it is vague?

Please help

This sets a default value for a profile setting. Go into your profile and set something for the personal text. Now go look at a post you made. You will see it under your name.

Right. If someone doesn't put in personal text, the default in the admin will be used.

Ohh OK great thanx for that, can you tell me where personal text shows up?

Usually under the avatar, if the user has one. This might vary if the theme changes how things look.

You can see exactly where it shows by doing this:

I changed how the posts show up so that the most recent ones are at the top, I don't really like it but I'm not finding where I made that change? Where do I go to change it back to normal??? So that new posts follow older ones I mean??

Billy

PS I'll get this eventually LOL

If you set this globally, it's in the "reset options" sub-section in the themes section. If you just set it for yourself, it's in the "Look and Layout Preferences" section of your profile.
