[MAY BE IN WRONG PLACE] Removing badges (AKA: Stars)

I was wondering if I am able to remove / disable the stars system. I don't like how they look with my SMF forum.

Can anybody help? Also, if I did post in the wrong area, then please move it to the right area and accept my apologies.

Can't you just go to Admin > Membergroups > Modify > Erase the current filename under "Star Image"?

Now you can upload your own if you wish. Just put the url to the new images.

Tried to remove the stars myself but no go. First my idea was to remove the numbers of stars (which you can in "Modify") and that automatically erased the URL to star images. But in the forum it just ended up with everyone having a single star and I have no idea why.

EDIT: Fixed it, I had remove the stars from the "Newbie" group as well that everyone starts with.
