Hello a mod request please

I was wondering if there is anything like a Scrolling News Mod so that my news will change from one picture to another or just scroll from down headed up or visa versa, also is there a mod or anyway that i could get my last 10 or so posts to show up at the bottom of my index page or have my site stats page show up at the bottom of index *this would be better* if the mods are already posted on the site could someone please point me in the right direction? thanks for your help much obliged

For the news, go to:

Admin panel -> Current Theme  and tick the box for "Show news fader on board index"

For showing recent posts on the index:

Admin panel -> Current Theme you'll see "Number of recent posts to display on board index:".  Just enter the number of posts you'd like to have displayed.


That should do it for those.  Post back if you need anything else.

I would also suggest that, as a new Administrator, you take some time out to read the 'Online Manual', and employ the use of the 'Search' button, as both these questions have been asked many times.

No need to apologise my friend, just trying to point out the excellent resources that are available to everyone.

Often, the best way to learn something is to get stuck in at the deep end and experiment for yourself.

When I first started out with SMF, I created a mirror of my 'live' site and used it to test mods etc., and generally 'play' around with everything to see how it worked!
