I noticed that at the bottom of this forum anda few others shows a table with the 5 or so last posts? How can i add this to my forum?

Go to Current Theme Settings in teh admin panel. Under Theme Options and Preferences there is a option called "Number of recent posts to display on board index". Type in a number there
