[Suggestion] Order Latest Mod/Themes by approval

My suggestion is quite simple. Instead of ordering the items that display under the "Latest Mods" or "Latest Themes" list on the customization site by their First Created dates, order them by their approval dates (which I believe shows up as the Last Modified). I generally check this list regularly, and if something has been approved which was submitted a while ago, it doesn't usually show up on these lists. This change would make it more clear to see which mods/themes really are the latest to show up in the database and are now available for download.

This has been asked for in the past.  We don't keep track of approval date.  Also all mods are approved in the order they were submitted unless there is a delay in response time between the mod author and the customizedzations team.  Then other mods might be approved before other mods.  So you wouldn't notice it if its approval sorted or submitted sorted.

The SMF Chess mod was just approved (or just showed up on the list), and it appeared underneath several other mods that were already submitted and approved. Had there been any more, it would not have appeared on the list at all. This is what I am talking about.



AvatarOnBoard and Top 10 Posters... have been there for more than a week. Stars and Badges just got put up the other day. This was all before SMF Chess was approved and appeared on the list.

It actually does because the first one is advertised more to the public.

Personally I don't think it's much of an issue. I see your point and it might get added but it's a very low priority item.

I don't mind if it's a low priority. It makes it more clear to those who actually watch the page which mods are getting approved and are now available. The only reason why I see that it matters is because, when mods get approved that are further down the list, they don't appear on the 'latest" mods part. They then slip by unnoticed unless you're just browsing or looking for them (or they happen to come up on the mod of the moment area in the package manager).
