Gender and location compulsory

I have just upgraded to 1.1.4 and am wondering if it is possible to make gender and location compulsary in registration.

Use the Custom Profile Field mod to do this.

Thanks greyknight17 for that. Just one thing though....what directory do I put this in? I have 4 files...
CustomProfile.english.php
CustomProfile.php
modification xml document
packageinfo xml document

I am assuming I only use the php files.

Upload it via the Package Manager (Admin->Packages->Download Packages tab and click on the Browse button and look for the zip file you downloaded for the mod). All mods should work using the Package Manager unless they are outdated or have other issues.

Thanks for that greyknight17, but I think I have cocked up. What I meant was the 'gender' and 'location' fields in the members Profile, this is what I was wanting to make compulsory, but I have since read on here somewhere that this is not available as yet.

Basically make those two fields (gender and location) show up in the registration as a requirement right?

When you make these new fields in the registration using the Custom Profile Field mod, where does it record this information if I don't check the 'use in profile' box and where can I view it. because if I check the box to show it in the users profile it duplicates the age,location and gender fields already in the profile.

If you don't check 'use in profile' and you check 'show in posts' then it will only show in posts and not in profile!
