Graphics - Animated and Not

Why is it some graphics that are uploaded are animated and others require you to click on it before it animates?  Is there a way to make all of them animate without clicking on them?

Hm?

The only thing I can think is Flash, which is affected in Internet Explorer because of a lawsuit they had. You now have to click on the Flash object to activate it. There are ways around that limit that have been developed, usually involving Javascript to force-activate it.

I should have mentioned I'm talking about GIF files that are shown as an upload to a posting.  Some of the GIF files will automatically be playing (animating) while others require you to click on them to start the animation.  I don't see a common denominator as to why some play automatically and others do not.

Please post one of these GIF files. Either they're not really GIFs (incorrect name at the end) or there is something odd with your computer :)

It isn't my computer because others are seeing the same thing.  Here is an example ... it isn't going to work the same because I can't upload the images, I can only imbed them.

This one, as an upload, would show just fine below the message http://maustin.us/misterx/darktoilet04.gif

This one, as an upload, would show as a still shot.  When you click on it, the gif activates and will play until you click it again.  http://maustin.us/misterx/broke2.gif

Hmmm, I may have figured it out.  Is the reason it isn't playing because I have the thumbnail field set smaller than the file?  When i click on the file that isn't animating, I noticed it appeared larger and started it's animation.  If I tell the software to make the thumbnail larger, would that fix the problem, or am I off track here?

青山 素子

Yes, that would do it. Thumbnails will only show the first frame. When you click, the full image is loaded.
