Show last threads?

I use Recent posts user preference mod, and it is not giving me the result i want. This is my issue:

I dont want old topics to show up when you publish a new post in it. I want the newest thread to show at all time. That means, newest thread created. eksample, if i create a new thread today regarding off-topic subject it would appear on topp. If someone else create new threads and then i go back to the one i created a few days later, and post in it, i dont want it to show.

I only want Newest Thread to show, not the newest active topic.

greyknight17 suggested i should ask for help here, since he couldnt help me out with this one.

Is there a genius out there that can figure this one out?

Best regards

I thought there was a mod to do this but after searching the mod site I guess I was wrong.

i know its not what you were after exactly. But my topics filter mod can show topics posted within specific timeframes and with characteristics, including topics without replies.

However this only works on the MessageIndex for single boards.

Forget that. I realised after I posted what you were after.
Its a quick and easy change to make.

OPEN Sources/Recent.php
FIND
AND b.ID_BOARD = t.ID_BOARD" . (!empty($modSettings['recycle_enable']) && $modSettings['recycle_board'] > 0 ? "

ADD BEFORE
AND t.numReplies = 0

Found it, but dosent work.

AND t.numReplies = 0 AND b.ID_BOARD = t.ID_BOARD" . (!empty($modSettings['recycle_enable']) && $modSettings['recycle_board'] > 0 ? "

I put it inn like this.

The above does work for the Recent Posts (shows in the info center of the board).

But maybe we're not talking about the same thing

I am using tinyportal block, with recent topics. Meaby thats why?

karlbenson

yeah thats why. it wouldn't apply to the tiny portal block.

You'd need to ask over at TinyPortal.net.

I've never used TP myself. So I'm not sure how many people have over here at SMF.org, so they are the best people to ask.
