FORM / ADDITIONAL FIELDS WHEN REGISTEERING

I would like to have additional fields or a form to complete when new users are registering.   I am a newbie to this and while I have searched the forum and found what I think are some solutions, they looked to be in code, which I do not understand.

As for the fields, I would like to include in addition to username and password, first name last name, mailing address, city, state, zip, country, phone #, and then a drop down menu or checkbox field of owner, driver, manufacturer, sponsor, enthusiast or something like that.   Any help would be greatly appreciated.
