I've installed my forum on my domain but then opened the index page using Roden web editor. I added a hyperlink to the bottom of the page to my other domain, saved it then uploded it into my server using CuteFTP 8.1.

When I try to access the index page now it says 'Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '<' in /home/mucus3/public_html/index.php on line 340'

Does anyone know how I put this right? I'm really stuck!

Open the file you edited in notepad(or any other text editing software) find the line 340 where the error is.

Where do I put the hyperlink then? Just looked and it is on 340, if I delete it where else can I put it?

I'm new to PHP so not really sure what I'm doing

Put it in Themes/default/index.template.php not index.php

You may need to echo it eg

echo '<a href="http://www.mylink.com">My Link</a>';
