So what you are saying is that SMF 2.0 beta 4 has no SEO issues? :)

These things are subjective, personally I don't see SMF being any better or worse than other forum software in terms of SEO. The robots.txt rules pretty much (almost but not 100% quite) do the same as the meta noindex tags.

QuoteLiverpool FC Forum is nicely indexed by Google and it seems to have a lot of traffic. Can you tell me if the version has any bug? I'd rather hear it from someone who is not part of the simplemachines team :)

A look through the bug tracker will show there are bugs, nothing major though and less than beta 3 (as you would expect).
Liverpool FC Forum with 14 million+ posts.

If my forum was indexed like yours, I would be very happy and that's all I would expect to have a good SEO friendly forum.
I might upgrade earlier than I thought if a forum like yours has no problem.
There is still one little thing, I don't really like is the meta titles only showing the topic names.
A topic like this one:

with a meta title showing "Switzerland" would bring less clicks than one showing "Switzerland - Liverpool FC Forum".
Could this be improved without having to use a mod?
