ah too bad, it really depends how dedicated you are anyways and most probably the niche, some niche aren't that popular in SU and some are very. But overall don't expect a sudden change in visitors over the night but expect more of a long run results.

I can check how many people check out my website from StumbleUpon and it was only 60 people over the course of months. And the niche I am doing is very popular.

Give any site a couple of years and it would have grown alot.
Give a social networking site a couple of years... it'll be huge.

what I meant was I tried submitting the site back then, but I still check on stumbleupon but it never seems relevant results that get returned.  I didnt mean I hadnt used the site for a couple of years, sorry

Yeah of course a social networking site will get huge after years. Cause you will have more members and more information for people to access. Its something to come back to and interact with.

Thats why I built a social networking site. To bring more people to my site.

There is a lot of stuff going around at the moment about using StumbleUpon as a guide to more traffic. It is taking advantage of a service that wasn't intended to be used in this way.

Indeed, I half expect StumbleUpon and other Social Link/Bookmarking sites to be treated less favorably by search engines.  Just like other 'link directories' are considered bad neighborhoods
