hi,

i was testing with my 1.1.4 and tried the function that a user can delete his account.
the admin has to approve that.
the deleting works but and its set that i should approve but i dont get a mail telling me that...

Anything im missing ?

Did you go to Admin->Features and Options and check the box for Require admin approval when member deletes account?

Did the user (or the test account you have made) actually delete the account without approval? I'm not sure, but I don't think an email will be sent out for this. If you have the above option checked, it shouldn't allow them to remove the account (not permanent yet until approved via Admin->Members->Awaiting Approval). You can try it out by logging in as that user again. It will say it's only marked for deletion.

Hi,

Yes i know that.....
Although the message in admin isnt clear on that you can delete it...

But my point is,if someone deletes his account i never know about it !
I know i have to approve. :)
But how do i know...?
With a board like SMF i realy expected that a mail was send, specially for something like this..

greyknight17

You will if you see them in Awaiting Approval. You can approve or reject from there. They will NOT be able to delete their account without this approval.

No mail function for this as far as I recall. If you want you can ask for this in the Mod Request or Feature Request board.

I see, well maybe its me but it realy seems very usefull to me if the admin gets a mail.
as admin you cant go into that area all the time to check if any member wants his account deleted...

greyknight17

I suggest just turning that option off for your members. If they really want their accounts deleted, they will email/PM you instead. Just go to Admin->Permissions and modify all the groups so that they do not have the permission to delete their own accounts.

thats also an option yes...
however, i created a topic in the mod requests, maybe somebody will pick it up..  ;D
