Making my forum

Hi,

I just joined up here a few minutes ago and I was wondering? I downloaded all of the required software, and then some. And now I would like to know, how I am suppose to get my forum up and running on the web? Is their something that I do to upload the software n' such or what?

I don't understand where it's all suppose to go, can the forums be uploaded onto simplemachines or does it go on a seperate website?

Hello both and welcome to SMF 

Firstly, the support here is provided by volunteers, so it is probably worth remembering that 'bumping' a post less than 24 hours old is frowned upon.

Installing and running an SMF forum requires a certain level of knowledge regarding general internet usage and the topology of such.

I would suggest spending more than a couple of minutes reading here at simplemachines.

Charter Membership does indeed provide install and support services, however it does not cover hosting, which you must purchase and provide.
