I'll tell you different of things into getting your website in SEO way. I have been learning about SEO for couple years. I got page rank 3 and alexa traffic increased constantly.

Here's what you CAN do if you want your website to be known all over in search engine such as google, yahoo, msn, etc.

Number one.

You need to start bait linking. You can exchange your website link with other website. This means you request an link exchange, to do so is just ask someone if they want to do link exchange with you, if they accept that then what you have to do is ask them for their website name and then you reply back and tell them your website name and additional note to say "if we link exchange, where my link will be at?" and they will tell you where your website link will be at, and you have to make sure that their website gets good traffic and some decent page rank, 1 or higher would be highly recommendation to accept. Afterward, give your url to a page where their website link will be at (be sure to give them same thing, such as a page with decent traffics and page rank) too and then tell them to put your website link onto their website links partner page, then you go to the page where they will put your website link on there, make sure that it is on here, and also be sure to use your mouse on their links partner page and go to "view source" then find "your website name" and make sure that there is NOT rel="nofollow" with your website because if it is rel=nofollow that means spider won't find your website on their website link partner page. Even if you do find rel="nofollow" you can either ask them to please remove rel=nofollow or do the same to them by putting their website link onto your website link partner page and include "rel=nofollow" all what it do is just won't detect your website or their website into search engines. But at least both of you will get decent of traffics, in of hoping so.

Easier way, and better way to do that is sign-up at http://www.linkslister.com/ and then you can automatically link exchange with other people by one-click to request to link exchange with other website, this will refuse rel=nofollow, means you definitely will have your website in search engine.

Go to that site linkslister.com and I will find you, just let me know what category and what website is yours, I will request you to link exchange and all you do is just either approve or reject, I will accept you even if you have no page rank or no alexa, just because you all are from here so I am offering a free link exchange, and no specific.

Number 2.

Now, there is other way. But it will require you some money. And I will give you a great guide on it too. If you need more members, and more traffics and all that. Then I highly suggest you get a paid advertising on google adword, or adbrite. Both of these will help you a lot. Faster and better than link exchanging. For paid advertising is what your website will be in a banner where it says "ads by goooogle" at some websites, just like one here at bottom and right. That's adword.

Number 3.

Make an account at http://www.digg.com and submit article about your website, be absolutely sure to write in your best way to interest a lot of thousands users. And as well do massive of adding people on digg.com so that way it can get every one to notice about your website, the more people you add the higher people will vote your article, then the higher of votes you get is the higher chance of your article will be in front-page of digg, then the higher chance you will get A LOT of impressions, this means a lot of unique visitors and traffics strongly coming to your website.

Number 4.

http://www.killerstartups.com/ is basically same as digg.com - Sign up on that too and do the same in guide as number 3.

Number 5.

Do basically a dollar-pay advertise. Example ( http://www.pay-infinity-links.com ) it is page rank 2. It was page rank 3 from google, and I have expect that it will be page rank 4 or 5 in future as I study in SEO. You can pay for http://www.pay-infinity-links.com or you can use something else like

http://www.dollarlinkdirectory.com/

Number 6.

Now. There's thousands of websites that will allow you to submit your website into their directory at no charge.

Like - http://www.prolinkdirectory.com/ IT IS page 5. Good effort! Look for "submit link" at top.

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=Free+web+directory&btnG=Search to search thousands of free web directory. Keyword: Free web directory, free web directories, submit free link, etc.

Number 6.

Sign-up under SEO forums. This will help you a lot too. You can request link exchange, advertise your website, discuss about websites and all that. Since seo is popular in search engine, it is highly chance for you to get your website faster to be populate by having it in your signature, and posting in RIGHT category, NOT SPAM. It's a good tutorial, I achieved PR3 on my forum with a lot less hassle than this. I used the "pretty url's" mod for SMF, and setup some links as "nofollow".
