Hmmm that should not happen. I suppose you did not do any edits on your theme since you upgraded to SMF2. Does this also happen on your default theme?

You should have adjusted the permissions in index.template.php. Can you attach your FTP/themes/yourtheme/index.template.php? Or the menu portion here?

This is an example of how I created my moderate link
// Moderate
if ($context['allow_moderation_center'])
echo '
<td class="main-navigation"><a href="', $scripturl, '?action=moderate">' , $txt['moderate'] , '</a></td>';

Make sure you are not granting guests the "Moderate board" permission in any of your boards.

This seems pretty unlikely, but I can't see any other way for guests to be able to view the moderation center.

I see you removed the Moderate link from the menu, but guests can still access the moderation center by URL directly.

Admin -> Members -> Permissions
Click "Modify" next to "Guests"
Expand the "Moderate the board" section if necessary
Make sure that "Moderate Board" is unchecked.

A similiar thing is happening to me. Though not for guests. One member can view the Moderation Center even though the user doesn't have the permission to do so.

Check all board specific permissions as well.

do you have a board that is open to editing/moderation actions by anyone?

Board permissions are irrelevant. The Moderation Center permission is a global permission.

Either way, I checked the board permissions and everything is as it should be. This is definitely a bug.

Darkness*,

Go to that members profile and view their permissions. Does anything grant them permission to view the moderation center?

yuva,
I viewed your forum and could not see the moderation center as a guest? Did you fix it?

I know this happens here sometimes, but that is because we have the test board where all users have moderation powers. We have to tweak the code to not show the moderation center in this case.

I don't remember how it is 2.0, but in 1.1.4 you can generate a report of the permissions
Like Admin->Generate Reports->Board Permissions  and it would show what groups have permissions such as "Moderate the forum", etc... on every board.
If this is still available in 2.0 it might help to make sure, if there is any loca rules that enable this for guests...
