404 error after disabling frontpage support

On our site, I wanted to disable M$ Frontpage support, because we don't need it. So we can get rid of all those vti_cnf directories. But when I disabled the Frontpage support, somehow the link to the forums didn't work anymore. I ended up on a 404 error page.

Re-enabling Frontpage support didn't fix this problem, so what's happening here? And how can I fix it? Re-installing the bridge?

I use the latest version of Orstio's bridge, Joomla 1.0.14, SMF 1.1.4 and SH404SEF 1.3 RC.
