why can i not post in mod section

there is no new topic button

That board is to hold support/discussion topics for every mod package on our mod site. If you have a mod to submit to the SMF Mod Site, a topic will be created in that board automatically for you.

If you have a question about using an existing SMF mod, post in the mod's support topic.
