Vanishing Icons

Hi for the last 2 days i have noticed that some of my icons are just disappearing from sight. The only way i have found to resolve this is to upload the icons again. On arriving here to signal this, i noticed that the new post or no post icons have vanished also.

Has this happened to anyone else and if so do you have a fix because uploading icons every 12 to 24 hours will get to be time consuming in the end.

before you upload them again, are they present in the folder you are uploading to? you should be able to see the files in ftp, of course.  what about if you visit the URL of the image directly before uploading it?

If you have files disappearing then i suggest contacting your host as well and see if they can figure out where they are going

Sorry my mistake.

I have checked through ftp before uploading them and yes they are still on the server. When i said vanishing i should have also stated that they are just not displaying in the forum.

I can see this here and now at these forums also, the no new posts and new post images are not showing. Even after refreshing the page a few times.
Are they showing for you?

i have no problem with icons at all.  And i daresay i use these forums quite regularly .

I would begin to suspect your browser.  What do you use?  are you under any connection restrictions?  Seems like its maybe blocking certain images and/or page content

I am using firefox with the latest updates, and have been for a while. There has been no updates to it these last few day, but the forum images that hide started only 2 days ago.

I have an ADSL2 freebox from free.fr [nofollow], and am averaging around 6.5 meg connection.

I will ask forum members my side if they see them.

It seems that the forum is just fine! So i guess its down to my browser.

I will do my checking at firefox.

Just to let you and anyone else know that it was down to my browser. I just had a good clean out and everything seems back in order.

You may feel this post is out of place. Go for it! Remove it! It isn't a bug after all!
