Database error

I keep getting this error when try and modify a post:

Database Error: MySQL server has gone away
File: /home/patriotg/public_html/Sources/Subs.php
Line: 3038

any ideas? 

Ive run maintence and checked for errors (none found), ive opimized tables, and since it looks like that line has to do with cache ive cleaned mine out too.. 

EDIT: its only happening on one specific board
