So do it without either checking 'Don't use smilies' or tricks like breaking up the smiley with a [color] tag! The point is not whether it's possible to disable smilies altogether or whether the lateral thinkers can do something clever with the tags, it's what happens when the average user simply posts a message including both smilies and a list with brackets and eight or more items...
