I posted this in the Themes section...was wrong I think...
So I thought to post it here too.

Dear users,

I upgraded my SMF 1.1.4 to SMF 2.0 today.
The Theme I Use is BlackRain.
There are really no bugs except the little thing that the Members can't click on the smileys to use them in their posts.
With the SMF Default skin it works perfect.

Does anyone know what to do?
I'd like to keep the BlackRain style so I really need a solution for this bug.

Thank you.

I hope anyone can help me because my Users are very upset about the smiley issue xD

perplexed

just checking, but are you using a 2.0 beta 3 public version of the blackrain theme, not the one you were using before the upgrade?

When I upgraded to 2.0 it said it's updating my styles.
Is there a BlackRain version for 2.0 out there?

/edit: I installed BlackRain for 2.0 Beta.
I still can't use smileys.
I also noticed that I can't click on the little images for putting links in my post.

Silverstein

Yes, i know ^^
But i don't know why it doesn't work.

Well I noticed that my index.template.php is out of date.
It's still for 1.1 but I uploaded the new one from the upgrade package for smf 2.0 but it still says it's an old one.

Silverstein

Doesn't anyone have a clue?

from what i see right offhand, your html appears to be well formed so i don't think thats breaking it.

have you tested under the default theme to see if that theme's works?

Could you create a test account for me to try out and see what (if any) errors i can get it to generate?

Of course. I'll send you the login and the pass as pm.

Silverstein,

Where you able to solve this?
The smileys should be independent of the theme, but it is possible the theme is forcing a certain smiley pack you do not have.

Sorry, I wasn't able to be online for a while.
The Smileys are shown - I can click on them but nothing happens then.
Also the "Inser Link" Buttons don't work...
I really don't know why and the users want to keep the theme...

Ok I have taken a look and you have changed the smileys I see.  They all work in the default theme, so your problem is in the Black Rain them!

Did you download this file http://custom.simplemachines.org/themes/index.php?action=download;lemma=118;id=4227

Yea I did but it looks so different to the normal BlackRain. Nobody in the forum likes it *wah*

Powerbob

HUH??
That is the 2.0 Public beta version! It's the one you should be using. Speak to the author in the thread and he can point you in the right direction for changing colors etc.
