hi, posted this elsewhere with no reply so decided to try in here.

My forum is currently at http://www.abidonline.com/forum1/index.php [nofollow]

I tried changing the name to just http://abidonline.com [nofollow] with sucess using the sub directory pointing but it makes my website look incomplete. Instead of blue, it is white, most the graphics has red x's and also when i try and put in old link it does not work in this mode.

Anyone know what I should do so my forum points to http://abidonline.com [nofollow] with no link and graphic issues?

The theme settings propably still point to the old location.
You could try running repair_settings.php to see if all paths in the settings are correct.
What is repair_settings.php?

This worked perfect. All I had to do is remove the extension (forum1 in my case) from all the abidonline.com [nofollow]'s and shazam!!!  Thanks bunches!!!!  Sorry for double post.
