Hi,

I have tried to move my server from one host to another, i have successfully moved the mysql database and set that up, i have also changed the sql connection information in the settings.php file and uploaded this. That then allows me to connect to the database fine.

But when i view the website, i have lots of errors and it is very different to how it should look, no images and distortion.

I have ran repair_settings.php and the suggestions that gives me, if i apply, give me Template Parse Errors.

I downloaded and re uploaded the forum exactly, without making any changes so i cant see why this is happening;

My old URL is; http://www.uk2000scenery.org.uk/forum/   (how it shold look)

My new URL is; http://www.uk2000scenery.org/forum/

1- do not bump!

2- after running repair_settings.php to set the basic stuff to the new server, you also need to go through... especially in custom themes to look for things pointing to the old location.

(for example, your logo on the new site is looking for http://www.uk2000scenery.org.uk/forum/themes/banner.JPG (i.e., your old site))

Yes but it doesnt give me access, if i try to login, i get a blank white page, as the theme is broken it wont let me get anywhere so i will need to modify the individual file that controls all that

BAW

I am unable to get to the admin centre so i need to be able to change the theme locations from the file, so i need to know what file i need to edit?

Kindred

again.... the information is not stored in any file.

look in the database, using myphpadmin and check the smf_themes (and possibly) smf_settings tables.
