Making joinable membergroups alter the additional membergroups

Hi

I'm evaluating SMF2.0 Beta 3 and have been testing the new Joinable Membergroups feature and have a couple of questions.

1. Is it possible to make is so that when a member applies to a group it doesn't modify the Primary Membergroup of the user but instead the Additional Membergroups list? I would like to be able to have members be able to join multiple groups and still be Regular Member as their primary group

2. Is it possible to move the list of joinable groups list to the main menu, i.e an menu item called "Groups" or similar? It's a bit hidden today where u ahve to go to your profile firsts... it would probably be a simple hack mod to make yourself but a configurable built-in feature would be very handy

Were you ever able to resolve this?

I'm not sure if i'd consider this as intention or whether it would be considered a bug.  Certainly assigned groups would become primary...

I will ask a couple of people their opinions on this and see what they think.

Just make the group invisible.
