Setting up SMF to access the internet over a proxy server

I was unable to find the solution to this problem in the existing topics so I apologize if there is a topic about it.

The question is how to setup SMF to retrieve information from the net (admin center, package manager etc.) through a proxy server? Currently I am getting no connection to the outer world because I am behind a proxy server Erich I must use to access the internet.

I wouldn't reccommend hosting off your computer as it stands, and truthfully, many hosts block you from doing so.

i would reccommend finding a host (even a free one)
