SSI Register Function

This modification adds a function to your SSI.php file which outputs a simple form to guest for register.

You can use the function by calling ssi_register() where you want it to appear.

Ok, I am probably the only one who wonders if a guest who registers can still be called a guest... As I am the only one who wonders, I should hide in shame and not ask... but I ask: is a guest who registers still a guest?

If he will not log in, he is guest. I mean, even if you are not logged, you are also called guest.

Hummm.... in fact, I should have been more direct in my question: what's the purpose of that Mod considering visitors can already, without this Mod, register, and then login or not?

[SiNaN]

Some guest are really lazy that they do not click to the register button in the menu. (like me :P)

Hi, I am sorry but I don't understand how to use this, ssi_register() code.

I put it in my index.template.php and got an error, I am sure more code has to be wrapped around it or something so can you please post an example?

This is very good.... very useful for those running 1.xx.

Kalina,

The ssi_xxx functions (including ssi_register) are meant to be used outside of the forum for web integration.  For example, let's pretend you have a main site with funny pictures and a forum.  And you want to display the forum username next to the funny pictures if they're logged in at the forum.  You'd use an ssi function.

What this mod is doing is adding to the stock of ssi functions.... this let's you display a registration form outside of the forum.  You don't need to be editing any forum files for this, because it doesn't add anything to your forum ;)

Many thanks to the author of this mod - I am using it to show a custom SMF registration page within joomla. My only problem is that I have some custom fields in my registration page (using Custom Profile Field Mod) and would like those to appear as well. Is there a way I can manually add the required info to the SSI_Register_Function.xml file or something?

[SiNaN]

SSI.php

Find:

    if ($context['visual_verification'])

Replace:

global $sourcedir;
require_once($sourcedir . '/CustomProfile.php');
RegistrationFields();

    if ($context['visual_verification'])

Thanks for this mod.

I have some problems.
1. I want to redirect after register to another page.
2. I don't see the option for reloading the image.
