help on setting up a forum

hi,

i need help please. i am not sure which section i need to go to for advice and support on setting up my own forum using SMF. i am new to this but i know what i want. i dont know how to start this. need help please. written to a couple of people here, but so far nothing.

second, try reading the documentation, sticky posts and using search?   it's been discussed any number of times.
