After upgrading to 2.0 the subject area for the Classic Theme has moved to below the message box... is there a quick fix for this?

Upgrade was smooth, looks good so far!

Cheers

If you upgraded, you might want to take take a look at the default theme.  As the Post.template.php appears to be the issue and it's not present in the Classic theme itself.

Did you have any errors when you were upgrade in regards to that template file?  You can try and override that file from a fresh download of the BETA 2.1 downloads.

I'm really not a fan of the default theme, it looks to busy IMO.

I didn't have any errors when I upgraded.

I might try your suggestion.

Cheers.

No I don't mean you have to use the default theme.  I'm just saying the Classic theme doesn't have the Post.template.php file of it's own, which in that case means it automatically used the template found in the default CORe folder.  This is where it's being generated from and which means it's 'corrupted' to get the configuration you are getting when you use the Classic theme.

Can you temporarily access the CORE theme and see if the post screen is the same?

I've just checked and the Core theme renders correctly
with the subject box above the message box.

Mr ChriZ

The same thing happens on this board, if you temporarilly set your theme to Classic, you'll see the subject under the message box.

Rumbaar

You're right, and I can't see why it renders like that.  I'm quite sure it's controlled by the Post.template.php file and the Classic theme doesn't have one of it's own so should take it from the CORE theme.

I notice in the 1.1.* version of the theme it renders 'correctly'.  This might be a bug with that theme.

question: is there, by chance, a Post.template.php in the classic theme folder?

Didn't think of that metallica48423, strange I got it here when I tested the Classic theme, but on my BETA 3 test site don't get the same issue :)

But I see the issue now, the 1.1.* version of Classic theme has a Post.template.php file, but a fresh install of 2.* doesn't have a Post.template.php file in the Classic theme.  So it would be an issue with the upgrade.

Try to delete the Post.template.php file from your Classic theme (Be sure to backup the current file you have for safe keeping).

I don't have a beta 3 install thats not an SVN version so its a bit difficult for me to test it but it could very well be something that was since resolved?  Don't know.

I'd make sure that all of those theme files are uploaded and are the latest :)
