Have changed the colour of one topic on my forum ... Display on the forum is perfect ..... but ... the quick reply it displays the entire html code of the colour in the jumpto drop down.

This would be a template error - check your Post.template.php file

I think that's an issue with the way the code is generated for the jump to menu.  It's a part of the design of the menu, as it wasn't never meant to handle HTML code like that in a categories description.

Try a search, not sure if I can remember an issue with this for people using images in their titles and was a fix (work around) for it.
