I'm using 2.0 beta 3.1 public.

How do I display a video file in a forum post?  I have the file in avi format and want it to display in the body of the post.

If I need a mod, can someone suggest one that works on this version please.

Hi potofgold,

You can attach the AVI file using the attachment feature. However, if you want a video player (embed video), you will need to upload the video to YouTube first or other similar services.

It needs to be uploaded somewhere.

If your hosting it yourself you will want the 'streaming 3' mod.

Generally though its safer (and cheaper on bandwidth) to upload it to one of the many video sites available, and then like Spaceman-Spiff suggested, using the auto embed mod to embed the video into the post, just by posting the link from your address bar.
