When will this be compatibility to RC4 and RC5?

The reason is I am using RC4 the AEIOU isn't has not been sending any Final emails at all. Can someone tell me why? Is it because this mod isn't compatible with RC4 or RC5?

Upgrade to compatible to 2.0 gold version please..

Seconded. Gold update please, even from a user.

The owner of this mod "rsw686" has not been actve here on SMF since 2010 (check his profile).

So this means the chance of an update by him is slim.

Note that I did install this (version 1.7.01) without issue on SMF 2.0 final, and it seems to be functional.

It's really sad that so many critical, extremely-useful mods that we've become dependent on now over the years (such as this one) end up being abandoned. I use this one so much it's essentially core functionality... that I now might lose.

blue_shadow

Yeah, most mods can be functional if you edit them heavily, it's just a real hassle. I mainly haven't moved to any version of SMF2 on the public site because the mods have been abandoned. However, on my test site, I'm trying to make life easier and edit them to install them.

imrich, would you mind explaining what you did?

I would like to sent out a third email, I think the mod allows only two, can this be done?  Thanks.

(Optional for SMF 1.1.x) Delete User Account (With a Threshold setting eg Delete users only if they have made less than 10 posts)

What happens in 2.0 RC3 ?

Do they get deleted ?
Don't they get deleted ?
Can you choose ?

This is a very good question, because the creator wrote in 2008:

The 2.0 version of the mod does NOT delete any user accounts. I will have to reword the package readme so it is more clear. I plan to add it as an optional feature in the future.

and then...:

I don't plan on having to release that many updates. I know I will release one more for 2.0 that will include the ability to delete users. With it using the schedules tasks and mail queue features there isn't much that can go wrong.

but I still read in features:

QuoteFeatures
o Adds a new section in the admin area
- Admin > Features & Options > AEIOU (SMF 1.1.x)
- Admin > Modifications > Email Inactive (SMF 2.0 Beta 3 / 3.1)
- Note: The mod is disabled straight after installation to enable you to customize the emails and settings.
o Includes Settings
- Customize Initial Email Subject (text-only) [with replaced variables]
- Customize Initial Email Message (text-only) [with replaced variables]
- Customize Final Email Subject (text-only) [with replaced variables]
- Customize Final Email Subject (text-only) [with replaced variables]
- Enable/Disable Deleting of Users (Only SMF 1.1.x)

So... what happens in 2.0 gold? I have this mod installed on my forum and works fine, but have not yet passed the 63 days for me to test what happens ...

Thank you very much, if not is there any way to manually reset them

You could set the aeiou fields in the members table back to 0 with a SQL statement manually. However this will not be added to the mod as it would be considered spamming.

Is very sad that this mod has been abandoned ... I hope that someone will recreate it...

PS: Sorry for my english...

bedeceived

Will there be a 2.0 version for this?  I tried installing this version on my 2.0 and it messed it up by giving me 404 errors and the install did not complete.

thanks for bringing this up to 2.0

however this messgae is displayed in modification settings:
AEIOU is DISABLED. Configure it on the Scheduled Tasks page.

there is no trace of anything to do with this mod in the scheduled tasks pages...?

any help?

R-one

ok.
i found the scheduled tasks area and yes it is all working

the issue is your link from the modifications page to the scheduled tasks page actually takes you to forum maintenance page. not directly to scheduled tasks.

minor fix?

thanks again.
