i've made this theme for a layout with the content in a fixed width element. it's optimized for 600px width, will work with higher width too but might look weird with smaller width.
things are aligned differently to look better in small width elements.

Looks nice :) Is it possible to have buttons(red) in finnish? Umm I also have to extra buttons, that do not belong to SMF default.(Mobiili and Chat).

Ah sorry, forget about it. I didn't notice that it was so narrow.
You'll get the idea

I'm all ok.

Nicely thought out, Mystica! :)

hi Mystica .. thanx for the nice theme.

i've noted that replys by members without avatars the authors name won't be displayed in that post.
not sure if this was your intention?
only post count + stars are showing - not the members name
how to integrate authors name into each reply??

thanks for helping out

Mystica

oops, little mistake there. thanks for pointing that out! here's an updated version of the display template, replace the old one and it should work! will update the zips now...

cheers Mystica
thx a lot for the prompt reply

I love it, especially the Display view. Really really handy for users in low resolutions, or forums within a portal.
I'm only a half geek really...

Awesome template! I love how you made the mini-profile above the messages... Just like the latest release of vBulletin, minus the $160 price tag.

How I install this themes in my forum???  :'(

Mystica

just download the zip file in the first post and install it over the theme administration (admin -> theme and layout settings -> install a new theme from a file)
if you are using smf 1.0.1, make sure to download the updated files too and upload them via ftp.

Mystica-

You are very good, at creating themes. Will you be doing a Easter theme?

Why can I not download wifired main file from the first post?  I get told I don't have permission, and am asked to enter my password again.  When done, it goes back to the front end of the forum.

Any plans for making a 1.0.3 version of this nicely looking theme?
Please please please.  :)

Mystica

just replace the old display.template with this one to update to 1.0.3 :)

Its nice. But there are a couple of things I dont like;

- The crosshairs while viewing the forum, I'd much rather have the arrow mouse like you would normally.
- The post screen, I dont like how the users's mini-profile is shown above the post like that, I'm really used to seeing them along the left hand side of the post.
- The way the admin area is laid out with the navigational items above everything else, again, I'm used to them going down the left.

to get rid of the crosshair, just open the css file, go to the body class and delete "cursor:crosshair;" and you'll have the normal cursor again.
as for the postioning of the miniprofile and navigation items, that's exactly the point of this theme! it's made for sites that display the forum in smaller width, it can easily look messy with the mini profile next to the posts if you only have 600 pixels to display the whole forum, that's why they are moved to the top instead.

Gary

Yeah, I understand. I was just saying my opinion on it. :) Its good for smaller widths.

Just wanted to mention that I'm using Fiwi Blue as a Low Res alternate theme on my high-traffic SMF forums.  The Dialup users love it, my client loves it as it uses almost no bandwidth at all, and I have one user who is absolutely thrilled that it displays correctly in Opera.

Kudos!

Mystica

thanks, really glad you and your users like it :)

would these theme be compatible with smf 1.1b3p?

Mystica

I don't know, didn't have a chance to try it out yet. You could try it though and delete the theme if it doesn't work correctly. Will try to update as soon as I find the time.

Hi all,  forgive my noobness with SMF stuff,  but I have to ask a question that will probably require a simplistic answer...

I would like to place a logo at the top of this theme, but have no idea what code to use, (or where) or how big I should make the logo so it appears properly (un)resized.

Any help available?
