Please help complete novice!

I have installed smf ok but when I look at it it is just some basic text with no board formatting/layout (see hxxp:www.t17designs.com [nonactive] )

I have tried selecting other templates ie babylon etc and saving but nothing changes

Please offer any useful advice so that I can get my board displaying properly - but do remember I am a novice and don't understand anything other than basic instructions.

Alternatively I am willing to pay a few $ if someone can install the board etc properly for me

Try fixing your paths with repair_settings.php. See: What is repair_settings.php?

I uploaded and run the file but nothing seems to have changed.

I uploaded the file to public_html/ and run it

and then uploaded to  public_html/sources/ and run it

There was no screen to follow anything it just opened on my normal incorrect screen

You should upload it to your forum root folder which should be public_html in your case.

It should then tell you if you need to fix any paths.
